Carol Irene Zovi, 70, of Hartville, Wyoming, died in the early evening Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Platte County Memorial Nursing Home in Wheatland, Wyoming.
Carol was born in Denver, Colorado on September 13, 1941 the daughter of Victor and Irene (Gardil) Henderson.  Carol was a loving, honest, and adventurous woman.  She attended Catholic school from the time she was a young girl and went on to attend a private Catholic college in Kansas where her true passion found its roots in English Literature.  Carol received her A.A. degree in English literature and from that point on she loved writing, but even more than that she loved her family and dearest friends.  Then as fate would have its way in love, Carol found the love of her life, Peter Anthony Zovi in Denver and they were united in marriage on May 18, 1963 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church on a beautiful spring morning. Before noon they were on their way to Las Vegas, Nevada where they lived for thirty four adventurous years full of happiness, travel, outdoor adventures, and most especially the birth of their two wonderful sons.  In 1997 they decided to take it a little easy and retire in Hartville, Wyoming.  Carol loved her home in Hartville.  Many times she mentioned that she loved the peace and tranquility of her years spent there.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Peter Zovi of Hartville; two sons, James Bruno Zovi (Tammy) of Rigby, Idaho and Robert Anthony Zovi (Jamie) of Las Vegas; four brothers, Mark Henderson of Fishkill, New York, Paul Henderson of Denver, John Henderson of Washington, and Larry Henderson of Denver; four grandchildren Natasha Zovi-Blackmon of Rigby, Nicole Zovi of Rigby, James Zovi Jr. of Menan, Idaho, and LeAnna Zovi of Las Vegas; and one great grandson Caleb Wells Blackmon of Rigby.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Irene Henderson.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland.

Dear Zovi Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. May you find comfort in your loving memories, and in knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34;18) While grief at the loss of Carol is great, joy at receiving her back in the resurrection will be greater. (Mark 5;42) With deepest sympathy,
