Funeral services for Donald Charles Edgley, 53, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Tom Strock of the First Baptist Church in Lusk, Wyoming officiating.
Don Edgley died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the emergency room of Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas of natural causes.
Don was born July 23, 1959 in Richmond, Virginia the son of Donald Charles and Joyce Blanche (Muszynski) Edgley. He was raised and educated in Alpena, Michigan, and he graduated from the Alpena High School in 1977. He was married to Wanda M. Jozwiak, and to this union three children were born. They later divorced.
Don moved to Wyoming in 1979, and worked various jobs before going to work for Antelope Coal Mine in 1985. Don was a mechanic welder at the mine at the time of his death.
He enjoyed fishing, washing his cars, and mowing the lawn. He has spent the past few years with his life partner, Debora Swan, and they thoroughly enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Don is survived by his life partner, Deborah Swan of Douglas; daughters, Jessica (Jeremiah) Peak of Fort Collins, Colorado and Arianne Edgley of Casper, Wyoming; parents, Don and Joyce Edgley of Alpena; siblings, Cheryl Morrow of Alpena and Jerry Edgley of Holland, Michigan; step-son, Ryan Keith Floyd of Gillette, Wyoming; grandchildren, Captain Joseph Peak of Fort Collins and Payton Nevaeh Edgley of Casper; and step-grandchildren, Jonathan Casper Pugsley, Diana Jo Champagne, Austin Tyrell Floyd, and Ashton Mae Floyd all of Gillette.
Don was preceded in death by his son, Alic Joseph Edgley, on November 30, 2003.
A memorial to the Don Edgley Memorial Fund in care of the Point West Bank, P.O. Box 1570, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
