Funeral services for Brion Keith Haynes, 59, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 26th , 2017 at the Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Frank Wiederrecht of  The Gathering officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming.

Brion was born Wednesday, August 7th , 1957 in Cheyenne, Wyoming the son of Lawrence Gilbert and Virginia Grace (Laca) Haynes.  The family moved to Gillette in 1968 where he attended and graduated from Campbell County High School. Brion worked for his family's business, Haynes Taxidermy, through his junior high and high school years. In 1973 Brion met the love of his life and high school sweetheart Leahmae Trudy Kauffman and the couple married in 1977. From this union came three wonderful children. Brion worked for Black Hills Power and Light before moving to the Campbell County Memorial Hospital until 1992. Brion then went to work for L and T Fabrications before moving to South Carolina in 1995. While there, Brion worked for Clarendon Health Systems where he worked his way up to Engineering Manager. He and his wife returned to Wyoming, settling in Douglas in 2012 where he went to work for Memorial Hospital of Converse County where he worked up until the time of his illness.

Brion had a zest for life; he enjoyed hunting, shooting, reloading, and spending quality time with the family that he loved. Brion's grandkids were the sparkle in his eye. He enjoyed going to their sporting and school events. Leahmae was his companion, wife, and best friend; she was his world; He loved her to the moon and back. Brion will most be remembered for his outgoing personality, contagious smile, generosity, and kindness. Brion was a hardworking man that could build or fix nearly anything. He had an outstanding work ethic, a can do attitude, and was often referred to as the go to guy. Brion was the kind of guy everybody loved and enjoyed being around.

Brion passed Thursday, July 20th, 2017 after a long hard battle with Cancer; which he fought bravely, and with dignity. Brion went peacefully surrounded by longtime friends and family who were gathered around his bed reminiscing and sharing cherished memories they all had with him.

He is survived by his wife, Leahmae T. Haynes, of Douglas; mother, Virginia Haynes of Gillette; children, Kira (Bill) Lewis of Tucson, Arizona and Christopher Haynes and Crystal Wilkes (Trevor Lake) both of Douglas; siblings, Bret (Pam) Haynes of Pahrump, Nevada, and Kim (Jeff) Evans and Blake Haynes both of Gillette; and grandchildren, Ashlee Gibbs, Dylan Haynes, Haley Haynes, Aiden Lake, Alex Lake, Ayrionna Lake, and Reignyn Lake,  and multiple nieces and nephews.

Brion was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Haynes, on September 10, 2006.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Robert Jennings, Michael Kelley, Christopher Haynes, Dylan Haynes, Trevor Lake, Gary Kelley, Weslee Haynes, Nicholas Haynes, Heath Evans, and Dustin Evans.

A memorial to Marge Cares Foundation, P.O. Box 98, Glendo, Wyoming 82213 or to the Wyoming Foundation For Cancer Care in care of Rocky Mountain Oncology, 6501 East Second Street, Casper, Wyoming 82609 would be appreciated by the family.

Brion, you eill be missed by so many of us. I was lucky to work many years with you at CMH. We did have many ' spirited 'work moments during construction and renovation when I had to play bad guy and you were trying to get the job done. It was a pleasure to know you and see you enjoy life as you did. Youmade our lives more enriched by sharing yours with us.

So sad to hear this news, Brion will be missed. He was as close to family as you can get to the Upps. My dad (Bill) considered him as a brother for the past 35 years or so. I always looked forward to seeing Brion on my trips to Gillette as a kid and South Carolina as a man. I believe he even stopped through Kansas City a time or two with my dad. God bless.

So honored to have worked with Brion at Clarendon Health and be a part of helping his team take care of the hospital campus. He was a delight to work with and so happy to have had the opportunity to call him my friend. A smile as bright as Brions has made all of us better people.
