Funeral services for Gloria Joan Carrera, 71, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Guernsey Senior Citizens’ Center in Guernsey, Wyoming with Pastor Casey Schroeder of the First Christian Church in Wheatland, Wyoming officiating.
Gloria Joan Carrera passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming with her son, Robert Dominguez Jr., by her side
She was born in Calexico, California on Saturday, December 29, 1945 the daughter of Eugene and Retha (Farris) Crawford.  Joan, as her family called her, had two sons, Robert and David.
She resided in Fremont, California until she moved to Guernsey in 2013.  Guernsey was a place she came to love and call home.  She made many friends the short time she had resided in Guernsey.  Joan visited the Guernsey Senior Citizens’ Center regularly, where she enjoyed activities and visiting with her friends.
Gloria loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She enjoyed gardening , traveling ,reading, and learning about history of the Western States and Native American Culture.
Joan will be dearly missed.
Joan is survived by her sons, Robert C. (Magdalena Estrada) Dominguez Jr. of Guernsey and David A. Dominguez of Point Roberts, Washington; siblings, Barbara Galbraith and John Boyce both of Oroville, California; grandchildren, Melissa Gateley, Brittany Dominguez Bye, Mary Dominguez, Eric Dominguez, David Dominguez Jr., Camila Hollister, Viviana Hollister, Meredith Hollister, Treasure Hollister, Adrina Garcia, and Alejandra Estrada; and great grandchildren, Riley and Zane Bye, Veronica Dominguez, Aaron and Anthonie Ward, Novalee Hollister, Sofia and Alexa Estrada, and Baby Gateley.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Manuel Carrera; and sister, Frances Ide.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
