Funeral services for James Allen Hiser, 82, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Rick Bishop of the Glenrock Community Baptist Church officiating..
Jim Hiser a resident of Glenrock, Wyoming died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas.
Jim was born Saturday, July 13, 1935 in Glenrock, Wyoming the son of Robert Jerry and Zelma Isabell (Grant) Hiser.  He was raised and educated in the Boxelder area south of Glenrock.  He worked with his father on the family ranch for 43 years and following the sale of the ranch he became involved with livestock trucking for 22 years.  Jim also worked many years at the sale barns in Douglas and Glenrock.
Jim married Patsy Dennice Marshall on April 28, 1956 at the First United Methodist Church in Douglas.
He enjoyed 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and working cattle with his son, Barney.  In the fall he would gather fire wood and help with the weaning of cattle at John and Margaret Grant’s ranch.  A highlight of his day was having a visit with his cousin, John Grant and spending precious time with his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pat Hiser, of Glenrock; children, Lourena (Kelly) Anderson and Cheryl (Dennis) Dickau both of Douglas, Barney (Connie) Hiser of Newcastle, Wyoming, and Bridget Hiser of Cody, Wyoming; sister, Mary Hammon of Casper, Wyoming; and grandchildren, Paul Anderson, Jeremiah Dickau, Casey Dickau, Sethery Hiser, and Callie Hiser.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, on May 25, 1984; mother, Zelma, on August 15, 1985; and brother, Wayne Hiser, on October 16, 1969.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be John Grant, John Sullivan, John Conner, Paul Anderson, Jerry Dickau, Casey Dickau, Seth Hiser, Callie Hiser, Rusty Hiser, and Joe Vodicka.  
A memorial to the Glenrock Senior Citizens’ Center, P.O. Box 783, Glenrock, Wyoming 82637 would be appreciated by the family.

We were so sorry to hear about Jim, he is one of the last few HONEST men to deal with & Jim was always one of those men that "his word was good".
