Funeral services for Doris Ann Bryson, 83, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Tom Strock of the First Baptist Church in Lusk, Wyoming officiating.  Interment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Doris Bryson died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas surrounded by her family.
Doris was born Sunday, September 23, 1934 in Dawn, Missouri the daughter of Daniel E. and Letha A. (Warner) Brightman.  She lost her mom at the age of five, and was raised by her grandparents, Charles and Elizabeth Warner.
She met and later married Otto Wayne Bryson when he returned from the Korean Conflict.  They married on September 27, 1952 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.  They moved to Wyoming in January, 1953, where they raised five children.  
She loved painting and working in her garden and yard.  In later years she went for coffee at least once a day at the Plains.
She enjoyed the companionship of her friend, Richard Stinson, for the past several years.
Doris is survived by her children, Linda Susan Alley, Elizabeth Ann (John) Anderson, Jerry Wayne (Jane) Bryson, Sherrie Kay (Bob) Martin all of Douglas, and Melanie Jane (Ron) Griffith of Craig, Colorado; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otto Bryson, on May 15, 2000; one sister; and six brothers.
A memorial to the Douglas Senior Citizens’ Center, P.O. Box 192, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Bryson, Michael Alley, Logan Alley, Justin Cross, Casey Cross, and Ryan Marcus.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Richard Stinson, Howard Huxtable, Don Steckley, George Falkenburg, Bob Haefele, Ron Griffith, Bob Martin, John Anderson, Jane Bryson, and Jeff Falkenburg.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.

My heart feels your pain. I'm sorry I can't be there. I loved your mom so much. Iv known you all my whole life. She is now home with your daddy, and my mom and dad. Love you all. My condolence to you all Linda,Ann, Jerry, Sherrie and Mel.
