Bonnie Britton died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at her home in Douglas surrounded by her loving family.
Bonnie was born Monday, November 15, 1943 in Lusk, Wyoming the second daughter of George William and Nellie Mae (Hinchley) Sykora.  She was raised in the Sand Hills south of Harrison, Nebraska.  Upon graduating from Sioux County High School, Bonnie attended the Alliance Vocational School of Practical Nursing in Alliance, Nebraska.  She was then employed at Memorial Hospital in Crawford, Nebraska.  It was at this time Bonnie married Bob Britton and moved to Douglas to start their new life together.  This union produced after one year of marriage, Crystal lee, followed by Bobbi Jean four years later.
Bonnie loved her life as a homemaker, wife, mother, and friend to many.  Her home was an extension of herself, which she showed much pride and love for.  If she wasn’t inside baking or rearranging furniture, Bonnie could be found outside in her yard or garden.  Who could ever forget her beautiful petunias in the summer running between the driveways.  Bonnie was also dedicated to her everyday “4 mile walk” through Douglas, meeting many friends on the way.
Bonnie will be missed by her husband of 54 years, Bob Britton, of Douglas; two daughters, Crystal (Robert) Thompson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Bobbi (Mike) Lemler of Big Fork, Montana; sister, Kittie Rose Kohler, of Chadron, Nebraska; three grandsons, Nathan Hoge, Trevor Hoge, and Nicholas Thompson; two great grandsons, Aiden and Cyprus; and two great granddaughters, Dahlia and Roselle.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial to the Central Wyoming Hospice Home, www.cwhp.org or 319 South Wilson Street, Casper, Wyoming 82601 would be appreciated by the family.
