BRENDA BERNICE (EMERICK) TROTTIER

A funeral liturgy will be held for Brenda Bernice Trottier, 78, at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Saint Louis Catholic Church in Glenrock, Wyoming with Father Robert L. Fox as the Celebrant.  The Vigil for the Deceased will be held at the church at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 5, 2019.  Inurnment will be in the Glenrock Cemetery, and a luncheon will follow at the parish hall.

Brenda passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2019 in Casper, Wyoming.

Brenda was born Saturday, June 14, 1941 in Gordon, Nebraska the daughter of Bernard and Marie F. (Hammond) Emerick.  She grew up in Martin, South Dakota, graduated from Bennett County High School in 1959, and later obtained her bookkeeping certificate. Brenda married Gerald Trottier in 1965, and later moved to Glenrock in 1969. There, they made their home and raised five children. They later divorced, but remained lifelong friends through the years, being there for their children and watching their grandchildren grow. Brenda had a passion for bookkeeping and worked at the Glenrock Senior Citizens Center for more than 30 years. She also continued working into her retirement keeping books for the Glenrock Volunteer Fire Department. She loved spending time with family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brenda enjoyed cooking, baking, and crafting holiday and birthday gifts. Family and friends know that you would never leave her house hungry or empty-handed! 

Brenda is remembered by her children, Darrin (Debbie) Trottier of Wright, Wyoming, Amy (Ron) Young of Glenrock, Shawn (Sarah) Trottier of Casper, and Jennifer Trottier of Glenrock; grandchildren, Tara Trottier, Shelby Trottier, Tyler Young, Breanna Young, Taylor Trottier, Jered Potter, Shane Trottier, Gabriel Potter, and Noah Potter; great grandchildren, Cooper Trottier-Ortiz and Preston Benham; and brother, Jerry Emerick, of Martin.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard, on January 4, 1990; mother, Marie, on January 2, 1999; and daughter, Michelle Trottier, May 6, 2015.

A memorial to the Glenrock Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 293, Glenrock, Wyoming 82637 would be appreciated by the family.
