Clair V. McIntyre, 87, died Friday August 19, 2011 at the Platte County Memorial Nursing Home in Wheatland, Wyoming of natural causes. No formal service will be held.
Clair was born May 24, 1924 in Coudersport, Pennsylvania the son of Archer Allister and Ethel (Miller) McIntyre. He was raised and educated in Westfield, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Army during World War II. After the war he worked for Atlantic Richfield for twenty years. He then moved to Big Flats, New York where he owned and operated a boat store for thirty years.
He retired and moved to Wyoming and spent his winters in Arizona. Square Dancing was his passion and he enjoyed Western movies.
He is survived by his sons, Vern McIntyre of Wichita, Kansas and Bruce (Erna) McIntyre of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; half- sister, Gail White of Big Flats, New York; two granddaughters, Sarah and Jennifer; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jim and Jack McIntyre.
