Graveside services for Dagmar Elizabeth Kelley, 90, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Prairie Rest Cemetery near Guernsey, Wyoming with Father Andrew Duncan officiating.
A viewing will be held at Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel in Wheatland, Wyoming on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M.
Dagmar died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland, Wyoming.
Dagmar was born on Sunday, December 2, 1928 in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Andrew H. and Dagmar (Whetermark) Jozwik. She was reared and educated in El Paso, graduating on May 28, 1947 from Ysleta High School. She joined the United States Army on October 8, 1948 and was stationed in Hildberg, Germany. After she was discharged on June 6, 1951, she married Sterling Kelley. They lived in Casper, Wyoming and Lance Creek, Wyoming before they moved to Guernsey in 1975, where they made their home. Dagmar owned and operated Dagmar’s Greenhouse in Guernsey and a flower shop in Wheatland. She later worked as a nurse’s aide for ten years at the nursing home in Wheatland. She was an active member of the Lake Guernsey VFW Post 4471 and Auxiliary. Her hobbies included fishing, crocheting, sewing, especially dresses for Colleen, hunting, and cooking.
Dagmar is survived by her children, Colleen (William) Conner and Shawn (Joy Oliver) Kelley both of Guernsey; brothers, Paul Jozwik and Francis (Phyllis) Jozwik both of Casper; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Jozwik on January 13, 1974; mother, Dagmar Jozwik on October 14, 1990; husband, Sterling Kelley on May 13, 1991; children, Deirdre Ness and Michael Kelley; and brother, Joe Jozwik.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Conner, Shawn Conner, Dakota Conner, Bill Conner, Steve Kelley, and Chris Juarez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Sterling Kelley, Paul Jozwik, and Francis Jozwik.
A reception will follow the service at the Guernsey VFW.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
