DALLIN GUNTER Obituary
Funeral services for Dallin Andrew Gunter, 10, will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wheatland Middle School Gym in Wheatland, Wyoming with Bishop Paul May presiding. Interment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery.
Dallin Gunter died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from terminal brain cancer at his home near Wheatland.
Dallin was born August 12, 2003 in Laramie, Wyoming the son of Troy and Angela (Schrock) Gunter.
Dallin lived his entire life in Wheatland and had just completed fourth grade at West Elementary School. Dallin loved playing with legos and decorated his room with many lego sets. Dallin’s super heroes were Spiderman, Star Wars, and the Avengers. His favorite football team was the Denver Broncos, favorite drink was Dr. Pepper, and favorite breakfast was Frosted Cornflakes.
Dallin loved being with his brothers and wanted to do what they were doing. Dallin was fondly called Dal by his family.
Dallin is survived by his father, Troy (Anna) Gunter, his mother, Angey (Mike) Moody; two brothers, Preston and Zac Gunter and little sister, Alley Gunter. Dallin had seven step brothers and sisters all of whom loved and helped care for him. Dallin is survived by grandparents, Rudy and Sandee Gunter of Green River, Wyoming, Sue Cannon of Evanston, Wyoming, Jody and Melba Schrock of Wheatland, and Steve Brodine of Loveland, Colorado; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial to Brent’s Place, 11980 East Sixteenth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80010, Jason’s Friends Foundation, 340 West “B” Street, Suite 101, Casper, Wyoming 82601, or to the Colorado Children’s Hospital Neuro-Oncology Research Department in care of Nicholas Forman in Denver, Colorado would be appreciated by the family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Gunter, Chad Gunter, Spence Gunter, Terrell Lance, Mark Morrison, and Drew Schrock.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland.
