HARRY WEBER Obituary

A graveside services for Harry Lawrence Weber, 89, will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, Wyoming with Deacon Terry Archbold of the Saint Patrick’s Church officiating.  
Harry passed away at the Platte County Legacy Home on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in Wheatland.
Harry was born Thursday, June 13, 1929 in Longmont, Colorado the son of Carl and Elizabeth (Fox) Weber. Harry grew up in Longmont and Wheatland with his sisters, Lydia, Irene, and Dolores. He graduated from Wheatland High School in 1947. Harry met Wanda Ryan in Wheatland and they were married February 18, 1951 at the United Church of Christ in Wheatland. Harry served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1953 in Europe. He then began working for Ryan Construction and helped build many of the roads we drive on today. In the late 1960’s, he worked for Meadow Gold Milk Company driving a milk truck around the state. In 1975, Harry began working for the Town of Wheatland leading the Street Department until his retirement in 2000.
During the 1970’s Harry and Wanda teamed up to run the Wheatland Baseball League with Harry coaching the Pee-Wee through Babe Ruth leagues. Harry and Wanda could be found at all of their children’s ball games and travelling all over the state of Wyoming to support Wheatland High School athletics. Harry and Wanda spent most of the 1980’s and 1990’s camping and fishing around the state. Harry was an avid fisherman and bowler, he loved to play cards and board games. Harry was always known for watching and talking about sports.
Harry is survived by his children; Randy (Nancy) Weber of Riverton, Wyoming, Toby (Shirley) Weber of Georgetown, Texas, Rhonda (Lee) Apodaca of Wheatland, and Marty (Jennifer) Weber of Thermopolis, Wyoming; grandchildren, Nicole and Eric Navarro of Riverton, Micah and Anthony Apodaca of Wheatland, and Ashlynn and Elisa Weber of Thermopolis; and a great-grandchild, Donovan Navarro of Riverton.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Elizabeth Weber; sisters, Lydia Rutz, Irene Bahr, and Dolores Bohlmeyer; infant daughter, Cathy; and wife Wanda Weber on January 3, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to the Wheatland Services for Seniors, 1605 Sixteenth Street, Wheatland, Wyoming 82201 or to the Wheatland Meals on Wheels.      
Family and friends may attend a viewing at the Gorman Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.
