HELEN ELIZABETH (POIROT) STINSON

No funeral services will be held for Helen Elizabeth Stinson, 82, per her request.  Helen and her husband, Carl Edward Stinson, will be placed together at the Douglas Park Cemetery in Douglas, Wyoming.
Helen Stinson a lifelong resident of Douglas died Sunday afternoon, July 29, 2018 in the presents of her three daughters and one of her grandsons at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas.
She was born Friday, March 13, 1936 in Douglas, Wyoming the daughter of George Lester and Elizabeth Winifred “Betty” (Brow) Poirot.  She grew up in Douglas and on September 12, 1953 married Carl Edward Stinson at the First United Methodist Church in Casper, Wyoming.
Helen was a wonderful seamstress and crocheter, she did it for many years when her children were young. She worked at the Country Inn in the kitchen and was pastry chef at the LaBonte Hotel for 15 years.  She worked many summers at the Wyoming State Fair at the cafeteria and she was also the pastry chef at the County Seat Restaurant for two years.  
Upon her retirement she and her daughter did several craft fairs around the state for 11 plus years.  She also helped her sister-in-law at Loc Docs in Douglas.
She and her family lived in the mountains for 11 or 12 years around the Esterbrook area, where Carl worked with his brother, Grover, at the sawmill.
Helen is survived by her four children, Judy (Larry O) Kershner, Cindi (Eddie) Sullivan both of Douglas, Carlene (Jeff) Hammond of Casper, Wyoming, and Edward Stinson of Douglas; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one on the way; one great granddaughter and one on the way; two brothers, Joe (Sandi) Poirot of Corona, California and Bill (Sandy) Poirot of Windsor, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, George, on April 12, 1971; mother, Betty, on April 17, 1982; her beloved husband of 58 years, Carl, on December 18, 2008; two brothers, Ed Poirot and Russ Poirot; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Poirot; and daughter-in-law, Sandra (Bott) Stinson.
A memorial to the Douglas Care Center, to be used by the residents for personal use, 1108 Birch Street, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
