KENNETH ROY MCKIBBEN

A funeral liturgy for Kenneth Roy McKibben, 77, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Saint James Catholic Church in Douglas, Wyoming.  A Vigil for the Deceased will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel in Douglas.
Kenneth McKibben a resident of Douglas died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Douglas Care Center.  
Kenneth was born April 28, 1935 in Edgerton, Wyoming the son of Jesse George and Florence Catherine (Hagen) McKibben.  His childhood schooling was at Lost Springs, Shashoni, and Bill, Wyoming.  He always had a dog by his side and a pony in the corral.  He married Linda Lou “Meme” Brannan June 3, 1954 in Douglas.  He ranched and operated McKibben Trucking until his stroke in 2001.  He retired two years after his stroke.He was an avid roper and loved life of ranching.  
He is survived by his sister, Patricia A. “Patty” Meier; son, Lee (Donna) McKibben; daughters, Cheryl (Danny) Cole and Karen Lynn; grandchildren, Shane (Toni), Amber, Haley (Trevor), Jessica, Jennifer, and Thad; great grandsons, Hunter and Bobby; great granddaughter, Alana; step great grandchildren, Rhian and Trenton; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of fifty five years Linda Lou “Meme” McKibben on March 8, 2009; father, Jesse McKibben on October 18, 1972; mother, Florence Catherine McKibben, October 29, 1997; grandparents; and brother in-law, Ab Meier.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
