She served as PTA president, 4-H group leader, and director of Vacation Bible School at the First Christian Church. She was a Gray Lady at the hospital for many years and served on the hospital auxiliary as president for two years.  She was in charge of birthday parties at the nursing home for years and gave a party every month.  She was a member of the Garden Club, as gardening was a passion of hers.  One of her favorite holidays was Christmas and spending time with her family during their Christmas Eve traditions.
