Funeral services for Michael Allan Williams, 59, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Matt Fox of Unity Christian Fellowship officiating. Interment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8 and Wyoming Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors.
Mike Williams died Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.
Mike was born Thursday, March 12, 1959 in Milford, Connecticut the son of William Harold Miller Sr. and Nancy Marie (Williams) Miller. He was educated in Ventura, California and from there he joined the United States Army. He returned home and worked for numerous oil field companies, drove truck, and worked at Black Thunder – Arch Coal Mine.
He was married to JoAnn Lee (Walker) Packard in Cheyenne, Wyoming on June 15, 1999.
He loved hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and grandchildren, and telling stories with friends and anyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all. He was loved by many.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Williams, of Douglas; brother, James Louis “Jim” (Kirsten) Miller, of Douglas; children, Dan Danielson of Casper, Freedom (Greg Gallagher) Howell of Glenrock, Wyoming, Shawn (Savanna) Williams of Douglas, Melissa (Wayne) McGehee of North Platte, Nebraska, Jasen (Michaela) Williams of Alliance, Nebraska, Jennifer Harmon of North Platte, and Rick Howell of Douglas; 17 grandchildren, Alex and Stephanie Howell, Morgan, William, Cheyanne, and Curtis McGehee, Taylor and Kylie Williams, Alexis, Ford, Elizabeth and Andrew Packard, Eric and Cody Harmon, Marcus Autdengarten, Tamisha and Rose Sherman, and uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill, on December 13, 2007; mother, Nancy, on January 18, 1999; son, James C. Packard, on November 24, 2005; brothers, Rodney Eugene Miller and William H. Miller Jr.; and sister, Charlene Williams.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Cook, Kenny Ortega, Richard Chase, Christopher Miller, Jim Miller, and Jim Ortega.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
