PHYLLIS JEAN (TAYLOR) WICKERSHAM BUCKLEY

Funeral services will be held for Phyllis Jean Wickersham Buckley, 89, on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.  at the United Memorial Methodist Church in Harrison, Nebraska with Tim McCrary officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Harrison Cemetery.

Phyllis died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.

Phyllis, also known as “Flip” was born Saturday, April 12, 1930 in Harrison, Nebraska the daughter of Lester Marion and Alvena (Smith) Taylor.  She graduated from Sioux County High School in 1949 and married George “Buster” Wickersham on July 4, 1949.  They had three daughters, Randy Sue, Sharon Jean, and Donna Marie. Phyllis was married to Marvin “Tuck” Buckley on October 31, 1999.  

Phyllis is survived by her three daughters, Randy (Thomas) Brummett of Omaha, Nebraska, Sharon (Todd) Semroska of Harrison, and Donna Wickersham of Harrison; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; husband, Tuck, of Crawford, Nebraska; sisters, Ellen Moody of Tucson, Arizona, Marian Palmer of Selah, Washington; and Joann Hack of Gering, Nebraska; and sister-in-law, Kaye Spargur of Tucson.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Lester, in 1981; mother, Alvena, in 1998; first husband, Buster, on August 26, 1987; brothers, Eldon Taylor and Kenny Taylor on April 6, 2006; brothers-in-law, Ron Moody and Jim Hack; and sister-in-law, Lea Lu Taylor.

Serving as urn bearer will be Donna Wickersham.

A memorial to the United Memorial Methodist Church, 278 Second Street, Harrison, Nebraska 69346 would be appreciated by the family.
