Private family funeral services for Robert Ray Coy, 62, will be held at a later time.
Bob Coy died Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming.
Bob was born Tuesday, October 2, 1956 in Lander, Wyoming the son of Donald D. and Myrna Rae (Green) Coy. He was raised and educated in Wheatland and Douglas, Wyoming. He graduated from the Douglas High School in 1974. He attended two years of college at Casper College in Casper, Wyoming and finished his education at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, where he received a bachelor degree in education.
Bob served in the United States Navy.
He was an over the road truck driver for Covenant Trucking for several years and worked for Igo Oilfield Service as a truck driver.
Bob’s most gratifying job was working as a maintenance scuba diver in the San Francisco Bay at San Francisco, California.
Bob enjoyed reading and poetry, but his pride and joy was his 1964 Ford Pickup.
He is survived by his father, Don Coy, of Douglas; children, Jarret Coy of Oklahoma and Samantha (Ross) Ryan of Casper; siblings, David (Linda) Coy of Oakville, Ontario, Canada, Ricky (Ginger) Coy of Douglas, Doug (Alinea) Coy of Upton, Wyoming; and Glenda (Stephen) Schellenberger of Douglas; and four grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Myrna, on March 17, 2015.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
