A celebration of life for Russell Robert “Roscoe” Sticka, 52, will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Platte County 4H Building.
Roscoe Sticka passed away on Sunday, November, 18, 2018 at his home in Wheatland, Wyoming of natural causes.
Roscoe was born January 30, 1966 in Red Lodge, Montana, the son of Robert and Sharon (Breen) Sticka.
Roscoe was reared and educated in Fromberg, Montana and graduated from Fromberg High School. He worked as the assistant football coach at Lewistown, Montana. In 1985 he came to Wheatland and took a job at Laramie River Station Power Plant where he worked until his death. His hobbies included racket ball, going to the lake and doing all water recreation activities, golf, co-ed softball, and playing cards with his family. He was a generous person and would do anything for anybody. He was a proud uncle and a very proud grandpa. Roscoe loved nicknaming everyone he came in contact with. He was a very avid Oakland Raider football fan.
Roscoe is survived by his daughter, Chelsey (Conrrado) Deniz of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two grandchildren, Nova Deniz and baby boy Deniz on the way; father, Robert (Lavonne) Sticka of Edgar, Montana; siblings, Rod (Nicole) Sticka and Leslie (Sam) Huckfeldt all of Wheatland; and three nephews.
Roscoe is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Sticka.
Memorials may be made to the Roscoe Sticka Memorial Fund in care of Platte Valley Bank, 200 Sixteenth Street, Wheatland, Wyoming 82201, for his grandchildren’s college fund.
