My thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time. I am holding you all close in my heart as we mourn the loss of Pete from our lives, and honor him by remembering his impact on us and how we live our lives. Wishing you peace and comfort... with deepest sympathy.

I only got to meet Uncle Pete a couple of times, but I shall never forget them. He was sweet and kind, and so funny. And a flirt. The first time I met him, he came up to Ft. Wayne to visit, and he and Leland talked for quite a long time, about everything. Cars, Girls, Family, Kids, Jobs, and how good Pete looked from his huge weight loss. I didn't get to talk to him a whole lot that time, but when we left he shook my hand and said to continue taking good care of Leland, that is was about time he found a good woman.
His last visit to Ft. Wayne will always be memorable to me, because he was so ornery. Arguing with his brother "Seymore" (Charles), smirking at Leland and me for it. Telling his stories of Bikers and the trucking he use to do. Flirting with the waitress every time she came to refill his coffee, unless he was deep in a story. Sneaking off to look at the gift shop/ little store when he went to the bathroom. Telling me his brother was a pain in the butt when I went to look for him, and lets get out of here.
I will miss him all the same. He was a cool guy. I'm glad Leland got to see him, and enjoy some last stories before he left this life to go chase the ladies in Heaven.
Good-bye Pete, Thank you for all the laughs, and telling me I'm a good woman, I will miss you. Wish I could have had more time to get to know you.
Ashley, Lelands Fiancee

I will miss Pete. We worked together at V-1 when he was a driver there. In later years I would see him, almost daily, at Safeway. I will forever miss our lively conversations and his many interesting stories. Rest in peace, friend.

Will, Major and I were very sad to hear of Pete's passing. He was loud and vocal, but adament about his convictions and beliefs. We enjoyed many hours discussing everything under the sun. We will miss him. I have a text from him where he praises you and how helpful you have been in his trying times. God bless you and all your family
