A Celebration of Life Service for William Joe “Billy” Cathcart, 37, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Upper Ag Building on the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in Douglas, Wyoming with Robert Cathcart, Michael Cathcart, Josh Deluna, and Daniel Martinez as the eulogists.
Billy Cathcart died on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas.
Billy was born Wednesday, March 12, 1980 in Douglas, Wyoming the son of Martin and Mary Kay (Fraizer) Cathcart.
Family, Honesty, Loyalty, & Respect are a few of the many words that describe Billy Cathcart.
Billy enjoyed riding his Harley, coaching his kids’ sports, being outdoors hunting and fishing, helping people and most of all spending time with his family.
Billy was honest to a fault.  If you didn’t want to know what he was thinking, you knew not to ask!  Sometimes you didn’t even have to.  You always knew where you stood with him.  There was nothing fake about Billy.
Billy was active in his community, he had a passion for helping people.  He was well on his way to completing his Paramedic license.  Along with owning and running Cathcart Fire and Safety he was part of the Douglas Volunteer Fire Department and EMT family since the age of 18.
Billy and Carly met in Middle School and as Billy would say:  They were blessed to share a love that many people never get to feel.  He said in their lives they got to experience more than most people do in a lifetime.
Billy felt blessed and said “He had everything he ever wanted in life.”
The light of that life shone bright on March 19th, 2004 when he became a Daddy.  He was in awe of Ace (chump change) and the love he brought to his heart.  He experienced that joy again on May 18th, 2006 when Lola (Bunk-a-lunk) came into their world and wrapped him tightly around her finger.
He did it right, Billy was everything a husband and father is supposed to be, the truest definition of a man.
Billy left behind his best friend, partner for life & soulmate, Carly Ann along with his greatest gifts to this world Ace and Lola.
He is also survived by his parents, Martin (Janet) Cathcart and Mary Kay Cathcart; his brothers, Mike Cathcart and Bob (Jeanie) Cathcart; his in-laws, Carlos and Val Mesa; his brown sisters, Jenny Wolfe and Tara (Eric) Rouse; his many nieces and nephews; and a whole gang of friends and family that love him dearly.
Billy was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents, Allen J. and Dorlena Cathcart.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ace Cathcart, Lola Cathcart, ,and all of his family and many friends.
A Billy Cathcart Education Fund, for his children, Ace and Lola, in care of the Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences. May you find comfort in warm memories and the Bible promises for the future. Revelation 21:3,4 " With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say :' Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. ' " My thoughts and prayers are with you.
