Prior to finishing her Nursing degree, Laurel married Steven Zavorka of Torrington on December 6, 1980. They had one daughter prior to moving to Wheatland where they settled down to raise their family.
Laurel enjoyed her work as a registered nurse for over twenty years. She enjoyed being outdoors, doing crafts, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
