Dear Julie and other family members & friends. A big loss at the advent of summer 2018. I remember having coffee with Cleve and you around Christmas 2017. Cleve was a exceptional man. He worked tirelessly over the years with that old time work ethic. Just the other day I stopped by to have coffee -- no one was home. I hope you are comforted by those of us that we're lucky to know your parents and spend time with them. Sincerely, Owen.

Carolyn, Dave, Julie, and families.... Sending hugs to each of you. What a legacy your dad leaves. Such a kind, sweet man. I have many memories of him and your mom and am grateful to have grown up in a town like Wheatland where we had living examples of such special people. Prayers for you in the coming days!

I met Cleve many years ago and always enjoyed his company. He truly was one of a kind. We had many laughs together through the years. We were lodge brothers as well. I learned a lot from him.

Remember how kind Cleve, Mable and Julie we're to kittens and cats. Cleve used to leave the garage door open a tad so the wee ones could have "three hots and a cot" in Wheatland's cold winters. I would ride out to his property south of town on the road to Laramie (I wondered if we would make the curve) he would smile knowing the road + his driving skills - in his dependable Bronco-type 4WD to "the farm" where he also fed and watered kitty cats. Perhaps those that want to make a memorial in Cleve's memory might consider the Wheatland animal shelter? The whole "darn cat" (said in kindness) Artery family has loved, fed, cared for, given life & healthcare to innumerable animals. Cleve I wish I had spent more time with you, wish I had listened more, talked less. Some may not know up at their cabin Cleve tamed the mountain landscape with very few modern earth moving tools -- he did it through true grit. I remember him hanging hummingbird feeders then watching those feisty hummingbirds decide which one got the nectar first. He loved the creatures on earth, in the sky and passed it onto Julie. Also, who can forget the raspberry's in his yard that Mable and Julie shared with me. Having coffee with Cleve, Mable and Julie was a hoot. They have a old fashioned silver percolating coffee maker (not a Mr Coffee) that fit's perfectly with the Artery's timeless Wyoming grace and charm. Gonna 'git' me one of those 'new fangled percolators' & percolate new memories. A old timey thing I want to hold onto. Julie, you are in my thoughts. Lets go have Coffee. Respectfully and Sincerely, Owen, Class of 1969.
