Earle “Gordon” Fetterman was born Saturday, November 26, 1938 to Earle Morrison and Beatrice Lee (Small) Fetterman in San Jose California where he grew up.  In 1952, he became big brother to Jon-Mike Fletcher who throughout the years he would remain his protector.

After high school Gordon Joined the United States Air Force where he was able to travel the world and hone in on his electronic skills.  He served as a Missile Warning Radio Repairman and Space Surveillance Sensor Tech and became a lifelong “techie”.  He retired from the Air Force in 1970.

Gordon, after a hunting trip to Wyoming, decided to lay some roots and became known as the H & R Block Man.  It was while preparing taxes that Gordon met the “love of his life” and married Margaret “Peg” Fetterman in November of 1993.  Together they could be found preparing taxes, traveling, and sharing their love of history.  Together Gordon and Peg worked at Fort Fetterman for 15 years where they met people from around the world.  Gordon loved history and was a life member of the Wyoming Pioneer Association.  He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Gordon loved big and held hands with his love until May 20, 2016 when Peg joined her Savior.

Gordon survived the next two years with family and friends by his side.  On Monday, June 25, 2018 Gordon Fetterman passed peacefully with his hands being held by loved ones at Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Charlene Jarvis (Barry) and grandchildren Samantha and Michael; his daughter, Janice Lee King and grandson Shawn; his brother, Jon-Mike Fletcher (Egie); and heart family Sandra Toolen (John) and children Michaela and Annon, along with beloved friends that he made throughout the years.
