A Celebration of Life for Richard Frank Nieft Jr., 76, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Douglas Senior Citizens’ Center, 340 West First Street, Douglas, Wyoming.  Military honors will be accorded by Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8 and the United States Marine Corps Military Funeral Honors.
Frank Nieft died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas.
Frank was born Saturday, June 13, 1942 in Terre Haute, Indiana the son of Iona Adaline (Oxford) and Richard Frank Nieft Sr.  He was raised and educated in Terre Haute.  He served in United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1967.  He moved to Wyoming in 1978to work in the oilfields as a roughneck.
Frank enjoyed socializing with anyone, he never new a stranger.
He is survived by his children, Tere Nieft of Arizona, Richard Nieft III of Douglas, Jenni Nieft of Douglas, and Missi (Aaron) Wombaker of South Dakota; brother, John Nieft of Indiana; ten grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Richard, on August 31, 2008; mother, Iona, on December 9, 2003; and brother, Ronald Eugene Nieft, on November 2, 2014.
A memorial to the Douglas Senior Citizens’ Center, P.O. Box 192, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.

I always loved when Frank would come to the Center. His smile and his laughter made my day.. Rest in Peace Frank.
