I have the highest respect for you. You were a fighter in the sense that you fought for all that is good - God, country and defeating cancer just to name a few. I will always remember you on the wrestling mat and the dedication you made to the sport. This carried over to every aspect in life with the help of God our eternal Father in Heaven. You were a hard worker and loved your family and community. I can't think of one thing that we all can't learn from you and your life here on earth. Thanks for all that you did in this life. We will see you on the other side where you will certainly welcome us. God Bless

Very sad to hear the passing of Michael. What a special person he was with a wonderful personality and attitude of success for young people. I had the opportunity to work with him and will never forget his goodness and true friendliness toward anyone he had contact with. May the entire Douglas community celebrate his life and praise a man of tremondous kindness. Rest in peace my friend.

It took the wind out of me when I heard. I haven't seen Mike since we talked at the 10th reunion, but talking with him that evening has stuck with me since -- what an incredibly nice man he had grown to be. I will keep his loved ones in my prayers, and we know he will be praying, too.
