AGNES COLVIN Obituary

Agnes Louise (Gray) Colvin of Cheyenne, Wyoming; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, 14 November, 2025 surrounded by family. She was 74 years old.

Born Friday, April 27, 1951 the daughter of Clinton Eugene and Dorothy Louise (Judd) Gray in Dowagiac, Michigan with a gentle spirit, Agnes lived a life grounded in faith and kindness. God’s hand guided every chapter of her life, not through outward display, but through the way she treated others—with patience, compassion, and unwavering love.

For 52 years, Agnes shared a devoted and faith-filled marriage with her husband, Jack Marshall Colvin. Together, they built a life of partnership, resilience, and love.  Their marriage was an enduring example of commitment and grace.

Agnes was also a devoted mother, raising her daughters with tenderness, strength, and a steady belief in their potential. As they grew, she was not only their mother, but also a trusted mentor, confidant, and cherished friend. She later welcomed twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren into her life, each of whom brought her deep pride and joy. To her family, she was the center—the one who nurtured traditions, encouraged dreams, and ensured everyone felt seen and loved.

Throughout her life, Agnes faithfully served others. As a military wife, she supported her husband and family with grace and quiet temperament. She concurrently served as a civil servant with the United States government for over 30 years, carrying out her responsibilities with humility and integrity. Agnes’ selflessness also extended into the community as a youth bowling coach, where she inspired countless young people through her patience, encouragement, and belief in them.

Agnes embraced life with adventurism and appreciation. She loved being outdoors and found peace in nature’s quiet beauty. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places, always grateful for the opportunity to learn, explore, and make memories with those she loved. Whether near or far, she approached the world with a sense of gratitude and wonder.

Agnes will be remembered for her gentle heart, her generous spirit, her steadfast faith, and the quiet but powerful way she made the world better.

She was preceded in death by Mark Zampogna, her son-in-law on July 11, 2009 and her parents, Eugene on August 14, 1989 and mother, Dorothy on May 28, 2013.

Agnes is survived by her husband, Jack Colvin; her daughters Jennifer, Pamela, and Jacquelyn; her goddaughter Carsereena, and her twelve beloved grandchildren: Ryan, Kaitlyn, Nicole, Dominic, Grace, Jacob, Jenna, Corrinne, Shyleena, Loreena, Tiffani, and Junior; her great-grandchildren Isabella and August; and all those blessed by her presence in their lives.
