ALFRED OVERMAN Obituary

Alfred Allen Overman, 89, died Wednesday, June 2021 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.

Alfred was born Wednesday, June 8, 1932 in Crookston, Nebraska the son of John and Florence (Ross) Overman. He was raised and educated in Crookston and graduated from the Crookston High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from July 11, 1951 to July 1, 1955. He served on the USS Hanson. He was married to Janet Marie Anderson and to this union four children were born.

He worked as a foreman at the Texaco Refinery.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Janet Marie Overman, of Douglas; children, Sherril (Randy) McClure of Douglas, Linda (Mark) Young of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Dan (Janie) Overman of Bellingham, Washington, and Dean (Anne) Overman of Marysville, Washington; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and six brothers.

A family Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
