Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Sarah Phillippi and Minister Amber Sparks officiating.  Following the service there will be a reception at Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8, at Sixth and Oak Streets, Douglas, Wyoming.  This event is open to friends and family.

Amber Elizabeth Edelman, 42, of Douglas, Wyoming tragically passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. She was a loving and nurturing mother, who took phenomenal care of children along with contributing to her mother’s health and well-being. She is most well known for her ability to care for others along with putting a smile on their face.

Amber was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Sunday, March 7, 1982 to Elizabeth Anne (Brown) Perrine and Joe Michael Fugett. Amber has spent the majority of the last two years supporting her mother and her oldest son, Tyler Edelman. Amber always had a selfless mindset and made sure that she was there to assist her children. Amber attended Douglas Highschool before exploring different majors she could pursue for supporting her children. She was working at the Stinkers Store, accepting different shifts throughout the day and night to provide her family with dinner every night. All Amber ever wanted was to provide and tend to her family.

Amber Edelman met the love of her life, Anthony Murray, in Casper, Wyoming while starting the rebuild of their lives in 2023. They immediately clicked and brought the best out of each other. Their most memorable moment was Christmas of 2023. This was Amber’s first Christmas back in two years and she wanted it to be an unforgettable holiday. Her and Anthony did everything they could to have one of the best holidays that she has ever had with her children. Anthony can only remember how large her smile was seeing all her children happy and healthy. This was only the beginning of great memories between Amber and Anthony as they were engaged shortly afterwards and anticipated being married in July of 2024.

Amber Edelman and Daniel Edelman could not wait to start a family of their own early in their 20’s, and always made sure their children knew how much they meant to them. Amber and Daniel raised and nurtured their three children: Tyler Douglas Edelman, Alexander Ray Edelman, and Lacey Elizabeth Edelman. No matter how dire the situation was, Amber and Daniel were always there for their children. They’ve raised successful and determined kids, with two of them going through college funded by different scholarships and another child who works day in and day out to take care of their grandmother.

Amber and her brother, Justin Michael Fugett, were more than siblings. They grew up as best friends taking care of one another and driving each other to reach their highest potential. Justin credits Amber for his tough demeanor and his ability to handle any situation at hand. Through thick and thin, Justin and Amber were always there for each other. Amber and her brother were practically inseparable throughout their lives. From childbirth to arguing over a game, they were together through it all.

Everyone who knew Amber knew how much she loved spending time her children. She would spend countless hours playing all her kids favorite board games, learning how to play different video games, and watching all her children’s favorite movies. When her kids were not around, she would plan activities to do, sew them blankets, and spend hours on the phone. She truly loved her children and did everything that she could do to make them happy.

Amber Elizabeth Edelman will always be remembered for her compassion and altruistic characteristics, and the way that she made the entire room laugh. We’ll always imagine hearing her say “Uhhhh RUDE!” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better mother, daughter, and friend; and we will all miss Amber every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Amber is survived by her mother, Elizabeth “Betsy” Perrine, of Douglas, Wyoming; her children, Tyler Douglas Edelman of Douglas, Wyoming, Alexander Ray Edelman of Gillette, Wyoming, and Lacey Elizabeth Edelman of Tempe, Arizona; her fiancé, Anthony Murray, of Casper, Wyoming; and her brother, Justin Michael Fugett of Douglas, Wyoming.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Amber E. Edelman Memorial Fund in care of the Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.

The Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
