AMBROSE LEON SCHIRMER

Ambrose Leon Schirmer, 69, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at his home in Wheatland, Wyoming from natural causes.

Leon Schirmer was born on Saturday, January 23, 1954, in Laramie, Wyoming, the son of Charles and Frances (Perdue) Schirmer.

Leon grew up in Platte County. He loved fishing and cooking. In the last couple of years, he gave both up because of his health.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters, one nephew, and a longtime friend, Nita Mitchell.

He is survived by his siblings, Steve Schirmer, Greg Schirmer, both of Chugwater, Wyoming, Stan (Marie) Schirmer of Moorcroft, Wyoming, Ellen (Gail) Schirmer of Wheatland, and Judy (Si) Westfall of Dillon, Montana; step-daughters, Leasa Escobar and Jay Laher; and four step-grandsons, Sawyer, Casey, Chris, and Edwardo.

A service will be held at a later date.
