Ann Lou Coley, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was a resident of Wheatland, Wyoming, spending her final years of her physical life at Platte County Legacy Home.
Ann was born Monday, April 10, 1933 in Cupertino, California to Nolia (Patterson) and Robert Frazier. Her mother was a full-blooded Choctaw Indian and her father was an Irishman; Ann was quick-witted and had no problem telling it like it was. She had no qualms about sharing her opinion and standing up for what she believed was right, which made Catholic School an interesting time for her.
Ann worked in a glass factory and the family grocery store while her children were young, and at Macy’s Department Store in San Francisco, California for a number of years as a cashier and then a sales manager. She loved the ocean and watching the ships in the bay.
She moved to Wheatland around 1999 to enjoy her retirement. Ann loved dogs, German Shepherds in particular. She enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, and gardening.
She shared her belief in the Gospel of Salvation and had an immersion ceremony in December of 2017, and her family in Christ look forward to the time when we can see her again.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and love of her life, Elmer Coley, and her daughter, Nolia.
She is survived by three children, Jim, Rose, and Mary, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
