ANNA CELESTINO-SOTO Obituary

Anna Christina Celestino-Soto passed away on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, in her home near Douglas, Wyoming. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was 66 years old and had her loving husband and cats by her side that morning.

Anna was born on Wednesday, June 3rd, 1959, in Douglas, Wyoming; she was the youngest daughter to Maria (Ramirez) Maes and Jose Oracio Maes.

Christina graduated from Douglas High School; she also went to Eastern Wyoming Community College where she got a four-year degree in business. She loved spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, great grandkid, and her cats. She loved to travel to new places in the United States and Peru. Christina also loved to cook all styles of food from the most amazing pork chops and chilli to homemade tamales she even made her own salsa from her garden. Christina had a very witty, straight forward personality, saying what was on her mind at the time. Chrstina was also very loving to the people that were close to her, she would give you the shirt off her back if you needed help and if she couldn’t do that then she would find a way to get you the help. She loved attending all kinds of family events just to see everyone smile and be happy regardless of location.

Christina is survived by her older brother, Joe Maes; husband, Cesar Celestino-Soto; kids, Erica Castro-Tschida, Juan Arredondo, and Renee Wilkison; grandchildren, Alexis Castro, Valentino Castro, Max Castro, Amora Castro, Cataleya Wilkison, and Deacon Wilkison; and great grandson, Bohdi Castro.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Maes; mother, Maria Maes; older sisters, Michele “Micki” Maes, Veronica “Bonne” Castellano; and older brothers, Jerry Maes and Louie Maes.

Vigil for the Decease for Anna Christina Celestino-Soto will be held at Gorman Funeral Home-Converse Chapel on Thursday, April 30th, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at the Saint James Catholic Church on Friday, May 1st, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Lucas Kazimiro Simango as the Celebrant.  Inurnment will be held at the Douglas Park Cemetery at a later date.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cesar Celestino-Soto, Mike Panchot, Max Castro, Valentino Castro, and Ty Panasuk.

There is a memorial account set up for Anna Christina Celestino-Soto at Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 and flowers can be sent to Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel.
