Anthony “Tony” Mark Nesius of Wheatland, Wyoming passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at his home of natural causes.

Tony attended school in Chugwater, Wyoming and was a 1973 graduate of Chugwater High School. He married the former Kim Davis on August 20, 1993.
After high school, he spent the summer working for an uncle in Minnesota before returning to Wyoming. He attended Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne and studied Welding. He then went on to drive a semi-truck, that he and his father bought, hauling grain for his father and other farmers to the grain elevator in Denver, Colorado, before selling the semi in 1978.
Tony found himself in Wheatland helping with the construction of the Missouri Basin Power Plant. While there, Bud Day convinced him into joining the plumber and pipefitters union out of Cheyenne in 1979. It was here that he earned himself the nickname “Gus” by his friends and co-workers. He traveled all over the state working for the union until he accepted a job as a welder at Basin Electric.
Tony worked for Basin Electric for 18 years and he retired as a Lead Man in Mechanical Maintenance in 2018.
He helped his father with the family wheat farm outside of Chugwater from the time he was old enough to drive a tractor. He would help out with the farming operations off and on over the years until he took over the family farm after his father retired. He ran the farm on his own with help from friends and family until he finally retired from farming in 2002. Tony and Kim bought their own 40-acre piece of property north of Wheatland in 1994 where they would eventually build a home.
