BARBARA ANN "BARB" (SPAULDING) BLANTON

Funeral service for Barbara Ann "Barb" Blanton, 76, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 8, 2024 at the First Christian Church in Wheatland, Wyoming with Pastor Casey Schroeder officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery.

Barb Blanton passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at her home near Wheatland.

Barb was born on Wednesday, August 20, 1947 in Casper, Wyoming the daughter of Walter Edwin Spaulding and Claire Lafern Haugner.

She was raised by her grandparents Dana Lindeen and Nellie Claire Spaulding in Glendo, Wyoming where she attended school.

Barb worked in the automotive parts industry and customer service for thirty plus years.  When she retired, she went to work for Platte County Parks and Recreation. 

Some of her hobbies included, painting, playing cards, gardening, crafting, cooking, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Dana Harris and Connie (Clint) Nystul both of Douglas, Wyoming; grandchildren, Anthony Harris, Karli Harris (David Lopez) both of Wheatland, Marchi Nystul, and Peyton Nystul both of Douglas; great grandchildren, Nielle Lopez and Hudson Nystul; and siblings, Lynn (Ben) Marianno, Louette, Jan Shober, Susie (Ernie) Lewis, Oliver (Kay) Johnson, and Joe (Jamie) Chesnut.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
