Ben L. Baker, a life well lived began in Litchfield Nebraska on Saturday, October 17, 1931. A son born to Fred Baker and Cordilia (Sevier) Baker, 90 plus years later life ending in Platte County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
Husband for 69 years to, Lois A. (Reed) Baker. Father of daughter, Norma Epley of Guernsey, Wyoming, and son, Reed W. Baker of Strasburg, Colorado, grandfather (a role he loved), to six and great grandfather to fourteen.
Ben served in the United States Marines from January, 1952 to January, 1954 stationed with standby troops in Japan at the end of the Korean Conflict.
Ben was a farmer, mechanic, and heavy equipment owner/operator he gave his all.
Later years he enjoyed being a "snowbird". Several years in Yuma, Arizona, looking up at the sun. He loved cards, board games, and telling stories.

He stated "He'd get to Heaven on a John Deer tractor so it might be a long ride".
