BONITA LOUISE (KONRATH) HUNT

Funeral Liturgy for Bonita Louise Hunt, 84, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Glenrock, Wyoming with Father Lucas Kazimiro Simango as the Celebrant and Deacon Kevin Halvorsen assisting.  The Vigil for the Decease will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Glenrock.  Interment will be in the Glenrock Cemetery in Glenrock.

Bonita Hunt passed away at her home in Glenrock on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

There are lives that shine quietly, and lives that blaze like a beacon. Bonita’s life did both.

Born beneath the wide Nebraska sky, she grew into her strength on Wyoming soil— a daughter, a sister, a dreamer who learned early the value of faith, family, and hard work.

In Glenrock, she found her forever home. In Clifford, she found her forever love. Together they built a life stitched with devotion— three children raised with steady hands, a community served with unwavering purpose, a marriage rooted in laughter, grit, and grace.

Bonita’s days were full— full of service, full of motion, full of meaning. A realtor who knew every road and every story. A Planning Commission member for 42 years, shaping the town she cherished. The heart behind Glenrock Daze, a celebration that still carries her spirit in every smile.

Her faith was her compass. At St. Louis Parish, she prayed, she played, she served— the organ keys beneath her fingers, the sanctuary swept clean by her hands, the Eucharist offered with reverence. She was the quiet strength behind countless funerals, guiding others through grief long before we faced our own.

And then there was the cabin— the one she and Cliff built in Dubois, a place where generations gathered, where laughter echoed off the logs, where her legacy settled into the mountains themselves.

Bonita loved with her whole being. She loved snowmobiling and ATVs, Bunco nights, sporting events, scrapbooks filled with memories, and any task that required a little elbow grease. She loved the work because she loved the people it was for.

To her family, she was more than a matriarch— she was the anchor, the counselor, the peacemaker, the one who held the threads together when life tried to pull them apart. A force to be reckoned with, and a heart that never stopped giving.

Today, she is reunited with Clifford; with her parents, Florian and Catherine; and with her siblings, Nellie, LaVonne, Bob, and Dixie— a joyful homecoming in heaven.

And she leaves behind a legacy that spans generations: children, Ginger and Steve, Brenda and Ron, Lyle and Cris; sister, Carolyn and Jim; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren— each carrying a piece of her light forward.

Bonita’s story does not end here. It lives in every tradition she began, every life she touched, every memory we hold close.

Her love was a gift. Her life was a blessing. And her spirit— strong, steady, and shining— will remain with us always.
