A funeral service for Bonna Dean Goddard, 81, was held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wheatland, Wyoming with Reverend Lincoln Winter officiating. Inurnment was in the Wheatland Cemetery.
Bonna Goddard passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland.
Bonna was born on Thursday, October 30, 1941 in Hazen, North Dakota the daughter of Eldor and Emma (Haus) Sailer.
Bonna was reared in Pick City, North Dakota. Her family moved to Wyoming in 1957. Bonna married William “Bill” Goddard on October 16, 1960 in Wheatland at the Trinity Lutheran Church. They ranched in the southeast part of Wyoming and Bonna followed Bill from ranch to ranch making every house a home for her family. Bonna had various jobs but her greatest job of all was raising her family. Some of her hobbies included gardening, caring for her lawn, crafting, word searches, and making several baby blankets and quilts for her family.
She was survived by her daughters, Susan (Clayton) Cochran of Wheatland and Becky Roggenbuck of Glendo, Wyoming; siblings, Linda Lay, Eddie Ryff, and Duane Sailer; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lavone Miller and Lorene Sailer; and brother-in-law, Martin McGuire.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Goddard on February 13, 1991; daughter, Cindy Noyce on August 28, 2018; father, Eldor Sailer on December 31, 1991; mother, Emma Sailer on August 2, 2007; and two brothers.
A memorial to the Trinity Lutheran Church Altar Guild, P.O. Box 216, Wheatland, Wyoming 82201 would be appreciated by the family.
