BRENDA ARLENE (DODGE) SIK

Brenda Arlene Sik, 68, passed away peacefully in her Douglas, Wyoming home on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024.

She born on Thursday, June 14, 1956 in Conrad, Montana to Sidney Milton and Beulah Alvina (Lossing) Dodge. She attended both Conrad High School and Fort Benton High School.

After school she felt blessed to become a mom, welcoming three sons into her life, Patrick, Jason, and Ryan. Being a mom was the light of Brenda’s life. She loved to attend all of her sons’ football and basketball games, always being the loudest cheerleader in the stands. She out-refed any official in any stadium or field. Brenda loved the activity of having her boys at home and often invited in many friends and cousins to join the crew. The love of family Brenda instilled in her boys blossomed into a large family of 13 grandchildren.

Brenda loved the mountains and spent as much time as possible camping and hiking. She also spent her youth rock climbing with her friend, Karla. She always said she felt closest to God when she was in the mountains. She has several fond memories of spending time with her Grandma and Grandpa Dodge in their mountain cabin near Harlowton, Montana. Brenda shared her love of the mountains with her family. Brenda, Marvin and the boys shared many amazing memories camping in the mountains throughout their years together.

Brenda loved the Lord with all her might. Shen never hesitated to share the Good News of Christ with anyone. Brenda shared many fond memories with her family laughing and playing boardgames around the kitchen table. She was never happier than when the house was full of her family.

If you want to honor Brenda’s memory, hug your family, talk to God, and go camping – maybe even hit up a garage sale or two and never pay asking price. We know this would make her smile!

Brenda is survived by her husband, Marvin; sons, Patrick (Sherry) Evans, Douglas, Wyoming, Jason Evans, Blaine, Minnesota, and Ryan (Diana) Evans, Riceville, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; brother, Sidney Dodge Jr.; and sister, Marlene Kroll.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Sidney on January 23, 2008 and Beulah on November 1, 2011; brother, Ronald Dodge; and sister, Cheryl Dodge.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, 209 South Fourth Street, Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating.  Interment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, August 15th, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Serving as pallbearers will be Pat Evans, Jason Evans, Ryan Evans, Jova Cook, Dawson Evans, and Trinity Evans.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the choice of the donor would be appreciated by the family.
