Funeral services for Carol Ann Menter, 75, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Monument Hill Cemetery in Thermopolis, Wyoming.
Carol passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home in Casper, Wyoming.
Carol Ann (Hovey) Menter was born in Thermopolis, Wyoming Wednesday, July 31, 1946 the daughter of John Richard and Beaulah Irene (Grant) Hovey. She grew up in Hamilton Dome, Wyoming and
Thermopolis, Wyoming and graduated Hot Springs County High School in 1964. She met the love of her life, Willard Harrison Menter in Casper, Wyoming and they were married on May 29, 1967. They raised their four daughters in Douglas.
Carol worked at Converse County Bank for many years, and enjoyed working with all of the customers and her co-workers. She loved talking with and getting to know people. She and Willard also enjoyed working together at the Douglas Chamber of Commerce.
She always had a smile on her face, and an infectious laugh. Carol and Willard enjoyed many trips with their close group of friends. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of First Baptist Church since moving to Douglas in 1978. Carol loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include daughters, Kari Marie Cornella and son-in-law, Kass, of Douglas, Connie Irene Nyberg and son-in-law, Brant, of Riverton, Wyoming, Christina Menter-Nolte and son-in-law, Ben, of Douglas, and Crystal Ann Burgess and son-in-law, Tony, of Montgomery, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, John, on September 17, 1973; mother, Beaulah, on September 5, 1991; husband, Willard Menter, on June 15, 2021; sisters, Joyce Marie Haynes on January 25, 1995 and Janice Lee de Moor on February 12, 2012; and brother, Larry John Hovey, on May 12, 2005.
Honorary Pallbearers: Brant Nyberg, Kass Cornella, Tony Burgess, Ben Nolte, Joshua Allred, Jaden Nyberg, Parker Hileman, Brokk Nyberg, Thomas Hileman, and Cody Menter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Baptist Church, 209 South Fourth Street, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
