Funeral services for Cleo Lee Van Buskirk, 80, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. Interment will be in the Glenrock Cemetery in Glenrock, Wyoming at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 30, 2021. Mask are optional for attending these services.
Cleo Van Buskirk died Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas.
Cleo was born Thursday, June 12, 1941 in Wheatland, Wyoming the son of Leo and Fern (York) Van Buskirk. He was raised and educated in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from Natrona County High School. In his early years he worked many odd jobs in Casper. He received a certificate for appliance repair and opened CL Appliance Sales and Service in Casper, which he operated until his retirement.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and later in life he started two collections, metal toy cars and coins.
Cleo is survived by his four daughters, Liz (Dan) Reedy of Casper, Mona (Dennis) Easley of Glenrock, Sherrie Phillips of Casper, and Connie Nation of Glenrock; sisters, Winona Sharp of Oklahoma and Betty Ann McCammon of Gillette, Wyoming; 31 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; and 32 great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Nation, Trevor Panasuk, Max Panasuk, Jason Reedy, Eric Moore, Scotty Moore, and Daniel Reedy.
A memorial to the Glenrock Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 783, Glenrock, Wyoming 82637 would be appreciated by the family.
