Clifford Duane Hunt was born on Monday, November 6, 1933 in Baggs, Wyoming to Lyle Molar and Cassie Lee (Watts) Hunt.   He went to school in Baggs for two years before the family moved to Casper, Wyoming in 1941.    In 1948 the family then relocated to Glenrock, where Cliff spent the rest of his life. In 1954 Cliff enlisted in the United States Navy and served for four years

After leaving the Navy, Cliff worked briefly in the oilfield and at the Texaco Refinery in Casper.  In 1959 Cliff went to work at Glenrock Coal running heavy equipment and the dragline.  Cliff’s career at Glenrock Coal lasted for 34 years until his retirement in 1992.

Cliff was a very kind man with a big and loving heart.  He was an excellent carpenter and worked closely with his father, Lyle Hunt, building numerous structures around Glenrock including the drug store.

Also, in 1959 Cliff married Bonita L. Konrath and the two have been inseparable for over 60 years.  As a couple they built several apartment units and remodeled numerous homes in and around Glenrock.  Cliff also built their “barn” home in Glenrock and a cabin on Union Pass outside Dubois, Wyoming.

Their union was blessed with three children, Ginger, Brenda, and Lyle.

Clifford passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Casper.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Lyle and Cassie; a brother, Lee; and a sister, Ilene (Bud) Marvel.

He is survived by his wife, Bonita, of Glenrock; two sisters, Eva Jane (Paul) Drewery of Carthage, Texas and Viola (Tom) Ryan of Thermopolis, Wyoming; one brother, Howard (Evonne) Hunt of Thermopolis; three children, Ginger (Stephen) Norgaard, Brenda (Ron) Anderson, and Lyle (Chris) Hunt all of Glenrock; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren (with another on the way); and one great-great grandchild.

Cliff’s lasting legacy is the carpentry skills he passed along to his son and grandson, Lyle and Lyle Ben.  A very special thanks goes out to them for designing and building Cliff’s casket.  Thanks also to Ginger and Brenda for designing the casket lining and to all the other grandkids who helped out in so many ways.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made, in Cliff’s name, to any charity dear to the giver or to the Wyoming Alzheimer’s Association at: 2232 Dell Range Boulevard, Suite 101, Cheyenne Wyoming 82009.   Donations may also be sent to Gorman Funeral Homes and Monuments, P.O.
