Funeral services for Cynthia Marie Kass, 65, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel with Pastor Bill Williamson of the First Baptist Church officiating. A reception will follow immediately following the service. Inurnment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery in Marcus, Iowa at a later date.
Cynthia Kass died at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming.
She was born Wednesday, November 19, 1958 in Le Mars, Iowa the daughter of Thomas Herbert and Sharon Virginia (Wilberding) Hueser. She was raised and educated in Marcus, Iowa. She moved to Wyoming in 2001 for a job opportunity. She worked for the Converse County Sheriff Office from May, 2004 to June, 2007 and then for the Douglas Police Department from June, 2007 to May, 2017.
Cynthia enjoyed horseback riding, training horses and dogs, crafts, and companion dogs.
She is survived by her three sons, Bryan Kass of Vancouver, Washington, Corey Kass of Saint Joseph, Missouri, and Justin Kass of Cuba, Illinois; three brothers, Kevin Hueser of Elk Point, South Dakota, Michael Hueser of Hainesville, Illinois, and Mathew Hueser of Waukee, Iowa; step mother, Martha Kay Hueser of Waukee; and five grandchildren.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Randel T. “Randy” Hueser, on January 26, 1981.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Douglas Strong in care of Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
