"DARLEAN" NORMA LOUISE (BARNES) KNIGHT

A graveside service for Norma Louise “Darlean” Knight, 93 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the Douglas Park Cemetery in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Tim Ricker of Frontier Baptist Church in Douglas officiating.

Darlean Knight died Friday, November 4, 2022 at her home in Douglas with her dear friends at her bedside.

She was born Sunday, October 6, 1929 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Norman and Lillie Mae (Nix) Barnes.  She lived with grandparents in Colorado for three years.  She was then sent to her other grandmother in Arkansas at the death of her grandmother in 1956.  She moved to Douglas, where she washed dishes for her mother at the Douglas Coffee Shop.  It was here she met Willis Edward Knight and they were united in marriage in 1957.  To this union one son, Milton Edward Knight, was born.  She worked for the Stark Funeral Home and Flower Shop for eleven and half years, then went to work for Gene’s Plumbing and Hearting in 1971.  She took care of her husband for ten years with him on dialysis.  Willis passed away on January 12, 1992.
