DOROTHY D. STEELEY

Funeral services for Dorothy Darleene Steeley, 92, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wheatland, Wyoming with Reverend Lincoln C. Winter officiating. Inurnment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery.

Dorothy Steeley passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Legacy Home in Wheatland.

Dorothy was born on Sunday, October 5, 1930 in Wheatland, the daughter of John and Mary (Eichler) Dinges. She was raised and educated in Wheatland, where she graduated from Wheatland High School in 1948. Out of High School she went to work for the First State Bank in Wheatland which later became Norwest and finally Wells Fargo where she retired in 1991. She married Harold Henry Steeley on October 2, 1949 in Wheatland at the Trinity Lutheran Church of which they were lifelong members. Dorothy and Harold were together until his death in 2011.

She enjoyed ceramics and rubber stamping, making her own greeting cards, she enjoyed fishing and for many years was a "snowbird".

She is survived by her son, H. Eugene "Gene" Steeley of Rapid City, South Dakota; and siblings, Marilyn Clary of Pierce Colorado and Susan Dinges of Greeley Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Dinges; and siblings, Margaret Beal and Jim Dinges.

A memorial to the Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 216, Wheatland, Wyoming 82201 would be appreciated by the family.
