EDWARD "ED" RAYMOND HODGES

Edward Raymond “Ed” Hodges, 51, passed away at his home in Douglas, Wyoming of natural causes.

Ed was born on March 31, 1972 in Covina, California the son of Jerry Steven and Susanne (Coughlin) Hodges.

He was reared and educated in Northern California and graduated high school with the California High School Proficiency Examination.  He then went on to college in Sierra, California. 

Ed started working in the film industry with starting as a grip technician, then he went on to being a production assistant, writing scripts, moved up to the assistant director, and ran the camera.  He decided to go work for a company that builds scenes for movies or for themed parties.  Ed left California and moved to Douglas in 2005.  He worked as a bartender and also as a deputy for the Sheriff’s office in the jail for two years.

Some of his hobbies included magic, juggling, was a comedian, fishing, camping, and disc golf.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Susanne Hodges of Douglas; children, Cory Hodges of Douglas and Sadie Hodges of Missouri; brother, Cory Hodges of Douglas; and ex-wife, Rhonda Rex and her children, Ashley and Mirranda Rex all of Douglas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Waterhole, 811 South Ninth Street, Douglas, Wyoming on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
