EMMA J. BOOTH

A funeral liturgy for Emma J. Booth, 88, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wheatland, Wyoming with Father Hiep Nguyen as the Celebrant.

A Vigil for the deceased will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church with Deacon Terry Archbold.

Emma Booth passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland.

Emma was born on Saturday, August 20, 1932 in Guadalupita, New Mexico the daughter of John V. and Bessie (Vigil) Vigil.

Emma was reared and educated in Wheatland and graduated from Wheatland High School in 1953.  She worked at the hospital until she met George Booth.  They were married on July 31, 1956 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Emma was a great mother and wife to her family. 

Some of her hobbies included bowling, loved taking walks, and she was a wonderful cook.  She was a long-time member of the Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wheatland. 

She is survived by her children, Debra (Pete) Hart of Marysville, Washington, Brenda (Jeff) Pruden of Santee, California, and Terri (Jeff) Dirks of Wheatland; grandchildren, Kyle Hart of Marysville, Shana Suffel of Casper, Wyoming, Chris Pruden of California, Nikki Dirks of Wheatland, and Curtis (Divinity) Pruden of Las Vegas, Nevada; twelve great grandchildren; and siblings, George Vigil, Josie Rodriguez, Alice Romero, and Elsie Needles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Alvin Booth on June 12, 2004; and siblings, Louis Vigil, Alfred Vigil, Mary Vigil, Rose Vigil, Maggie Vigil, and Kathy Vigil.

A memorial to the Platte County Legacy Home, 100 Nineteenth Street, Wheatland, Wyoming 82201 would be appreciated by the family.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
