ERIC McVAY Obituary
A funeral service for Eric Michael McVay, 47, will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Karen Smith officiating.
After a hard battle with cancer Eric Michael McVay died Friday, October 28, 2011 at his home in Douglas.
Eric was born January 2, 1964 the son of Kathleen Jo “Kathie” (Smith) and Dennis Dean McVay.
Eric had a great love for animals, woodworking, and gardening. He was a dedicated and hard worker during his years of employment.
Eric’s fondest memories were of him and his family going camping and fishing together.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis; maternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Smith; and paternal grandparents, Pat and Dorothy McVay.
Eric is survived by his ex-wife, Twana; daughter, Danielle (McVay) Wilcox; son, Michael McVay; three grandchildren, Bently, Taylor, and Nathan; his wife, Tammy; three step daughters, Karen Nielsen-White, Lana Otero, and Tycee Nielsen; step son, Timothy Nielsen; five grandchildren, Christopher and Kaleb Allee and Trenten, Kambree Lynn Louise, and Kayleigh Ryan Nielsen; his mother, Kathie (Smith) LeBar; sister, Deborah (McVay) Harmon; brother, Chance (Shelly) McVay.
He was loved and will be greatly missed by his entire family and friends
A memorial to the Converse County Cancer Fund in care of Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
