Evelyn L. (Cussins) Yeadon

A graveside service for Evelyn L. Yeadon, 87, was held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, Wyoming with Pastor Taz Williams officiating.

Evelyn Yeadon passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland.

Evelyn was born on Thursday, April 6, 1933 in Slater, Wyoming the daughter of Cecil and Mildred (Golding) Cussins.

Evelyn was reared and educated in Wheatland and graduated from Wheatland High School.  She married Charles E. Yeadon on June 4, 1953 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Charles left for the Korean Conflict and Evelyn moved back to Wheatland to live her parents until Charles returned.  They moved to Wheatland following Charles discharge from the United States Army.  Evelyn worked for the Platte County Hospital, Ambulance, and Fire Department.  She then went to work security for the plant during outages for 10 years.

Some of her hobbies included crocheting and solitaire.  Evelyn’s greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Elaine (Bill) Clark of Wheatland, Yvonna (Daniel) Lando of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Wade (Terri) Yeadon of Casper, Wyoming; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a brother, Orval Cussins of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Edward Yeadon on January 2, 2000; brother, Leonard Cussins; and sister, Norma Phelps.

A memorial to the Wreath’s Across America, in care of Ruth Herdt, 56 Front Road, Wheatland, Wyoming 82201 would be appreciated by the family.
