Frank William Fleck, 89, died Saturday February 28th, 2026, at The Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.
He was born Sunday, May 17th, 1936, in Crosby, North Dakota, the son of George Fleck and Anna (Fleck) Fleck. He was the youngest of 12 children.
Frank worked in various oil field jobs in Mississippi. He and his first wife Mable, then moved to Guernsey, Wyoming where he worked for Kansas Nebraska Gas Company until his retirement in 1995. Frank and his second wife, Vi, bought the Vagabond Motel in Douglas in 1975 and ran the motel until 1990. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling around the state with his third wife Ann of 30 years. They spent a month each summer in Minnesota fishing with his son, Jeff. Frank was also an avid hunter and enjoyed elk hunting with his son, Steve.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his five sisters; his five brothers; his wives, Mable, Vi, and Ann; and his daughter, Laura Ibarra.
He is survived by his brother Clarence of Oklahoma; daughters, Connie (Tom) of Tulsa. Oklahoma, Debra of Alliance, Nebraska, Lisa of Casper; sons, Steve (Diana) of Esterbrook, and Jeff (Diane) of Henning, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren, 10 great children and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral liturgy will be held Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at the Saint James Catholic Church, 311 South Fifth Street, Douglas, Wyoming with Father Lucas Kazimiro Simango as the Celebrant. Interment will be at Douglas Park Cemetery, 501 South Ninth Street.
