Guinivere A. “Guin” Conner, 87, of Hartville, Wyoming passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, Wyoming. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Hartville Cemetery in Hartville. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
Guinivere Conner was born in Tioga, Colorado, on Tuesday, September 25, 1934, to Mary (Ritz) and Garrett Richardson. She lived and attended school there through eighth grade, and in 1952 graduated salutatorian of Huerfano County High School in Walsenburg, Colorado.
Guin worked at the Colorado Supply Company Store and the post office in Tioga until the mine there closed. At nineteen years old she transferred to the Colorado Supply Company Store in Sunrise, Wyoming, as a bookkeeper.
In 1957 she married Bob Conner at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Hartville. They lived in Sunrise with their three children. She worked at the Sunrise and Hartville Post Offices until 1983, when they moved to Cheyenne. She had resided in Hartville since 2018.
Guin was an avid reader and collector. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary JJ Webb Unit 95 and the Red Hatters in Guernsey.
She is survived by daughters, Ann Conner of Hartville, Kathy (Ed) Troupe of Hartville, and Nancy (Bobbie) Nail of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sister, Leslie (Joe) Modica of Trinidad, Colorado; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Mary and Garrett Richardson; husband, Bob Conner; sister, Lois Farrell; and brother, Ron Richardson.
Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, Tori Gallant, Nolan Troupe, Matthew Nail, Anna Troupe, Nicolina Troupe, and Jenna Gorzalka.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
